Swimmers parents should meet with their coaches to plan what swim meets are available to swimmers in each group. National, Top 1, 2, 3 swimmers will have parent/swimmer/coach meetings and the age group squads will have squad meetings early in the season.
We strive to have all of our competitive swimmers at our Legends hosted meets and time trials. Swimmers who qualify for higher level meets such as Provincial Championships, East Coast Championships, Pointe-Claire, Age Group Nationals, etc. are encouraged to compete at the highest level they can. The more times you compete, the faster you'll go!!

2007-2008 Meet Reviews
Age Group Nationals Results
The Legends sent a team of eight swimmers to this year's Age Group Nationals. 13 year old Owen Daly and Leo Froude, 15 year old Curtis McKay, 16 year old Nadine Rockwood all competed at their first Age Group Nationals. 14 year old Reniel Engelbrecht and 16 year old Brandon McKay competed again after qualifying last year. 17 year old Leah Tomblin and 18 year old Gabe Bursey were competing in their third consecutive Age Group Nationals. Eight Age Group Nationals swimmers is the most to represent a Newfoundland & Labrador swim team since the Age Group Nationals meet started in 2003.
The Legends top finish of the meet was by Owen Daly who placed 6th in the 13 and under year old boys 50m Backstroke with a time of 32.07. Owen took 2.5 seconds off his previous time to qualify for finals. Reniel Engelbrecht narrowly missed finals in the 14 year old boys 50m Butterfly placing 9th with a Provincial Record time of 28.65. Engelbrecht's time qualifies him for next year's Age Group Nationals competition where he will be competing as a 15 year old.
Other Legends top 16 finishes include:
Engelbrecht placing 16th in the 14 year old 200m Butterfly with a time of 2:31.18.
Daly placed 16th in the 13 and under year old 100m Freestyle with a time of 1:01.06.
